Adopt-A-Highway Program
Welcome to the Sedgwick County Adopt-A-Highway website. The Adopt-A-Highway program is designed to allow civic groups and organizations the opportunity to take an active role in helping to keep Sedgwick County clean. Participation is voluntary and ranges from church and civic groups to professional organizations. Each participating group agrees to “adopt” a two mile stretch of county road and pick up litter along the right of way 2-3 times per year. The agreement is effective for 2 years and renewal is easy. Sedgwick County Public Works supplies the trash bags and safety vests; just contact the Adopt-A-Highway Coordinator Ron Marsh at 660-1762 to arrange pick up. Each participant is required to watch a brief safety video provided by the Kansas Department of Transportation. The video is available on-line or a DVD can be provided. Thank you for your interest in helping to keep Sedgwick County clean!
