Treasurer Linda Kizzire
Linda
Kizzire was born and raised in Wichita, attending Garrison Elementary, John
Marshall Junior High and North High School. Linda graduated from Friends
University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration and a
Master’s Degree in Business Management. She also has received a Mini-Masters
certification in Public Administration from Wichita State University. Linda
is currently working on her Tier Two Treasurer’s Certification with the
Kansas County Treasurer’s Association.
Linda began working for Sedgwick County in 1990, as an Administrative Assistant with the County Clerk’s office. She has also worked in the Accounting department of the County Public Works Division. She has served 7 years as the Chief Deputy in the Register of Deeds Office and then 6 years as Chief Deputy Treasurer. She assumed the Treasurer’s responsibilities in January 2011.
Linda’s husband Mike works for Spirit Aerosystems and they have a grown son and one grandson. She is active in the Asbury United Methodist Church and the Sedgwick County Republican Party.
She serves on the Board of Credit Committee of the Mid American Credit Union.
Linda is involved in KCTA (Kansas County Treasurer’s Association) and NACCTFO (National Association of County Collectors, Treasurers and Finance Officers) where she serves as a NACO (National Association of Counties) liaison and serves on the Sponsorship Committee.
