Payment Under Protest: Appeal open to taxpayers in protesting the amount of property taxes based on valuation of real estate property.  You may file a protest at the time you pay your taxes, by December 20th.   If your mortgage company pays your taxes directly, you may file your appeal with the County Treasurer at any time after the tax bills have been sent out, but before January 31st.  ALL PAYMENTS UNDER PROTEST originate with the County Treasurer.   After you file the protest form with the Treasurer, the Appraisal's Office will schedule a hearing with you.  For additional information on Payment Under Protest forms, contact the County Treasurer's Office:

Pregnancy: "Healthy Start" is a service offered by the Sedgwick County Health Department at no fee.  Home visits by outreach workers assist women with visits after childbirth.  Purpose of the visits is to provide support and information.  Pregnancy tests are also offered by the Community Health Department for a small fee.  For information regarding either of these programs please call (316) 660-7433.

Prenatal Care: Prenatal care services are offered by the Sedgwick County Department of Health for a fee.  Comprehensive care is offered for eligible pregnant women.  For more information, contact the Personal Health Division at (316) 660-7433.
