COMCARE’s Same Day Assessment is the first stop for Sedgwick County residents to seek help from COMCARE’s mental health and addiction services.

A COMCARE therapist will meet with you, gather information, take a brief history of any prior mental health/addiction treatment services, current medical problems, and discuss possible treatment options with you. If COMCARE is the best agency to serve your needs, your first appointment will be scheduled.

Complete this New Patient Questionnaire before you come to the Same Day Assessment Center.

What should I bring with me?

Please bring your insurance card with you. Medicare, Medicaid, private insurance and self-pay based on a sliding scale are accepted as forms of payment for services. All are served regardless of ability to pay. If you do not have insurance, please bring proof of income which may include pay stubs or benefit statements.

Who can refer me?

You do not need a referral to access COMCARE’s programs and services. We do, however, accept referrals from family members, family physicians, hospitals, therapist, the legal system, community agencies, place of employment and other concerned persons.

I need help now.  Whom do I call?

If you or a loved one is experiencing a mental health emergency or talking about suicide, call Crisis Intervention Services at 660-7500 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
