Prohibiting Jury Selection in Violation of Batson v Kentucky
The jury trial is scheduled to begin on
January 11, 2010, with jury selection. That process is expected
to take approximately one week. The following Monday, 1/18/10,
is a holiday so the Courthouse will be closed. The trial will
resume on Tuesday. Once a jury has been selected, opening
statements and evidence will begin. That portion of the trial is
expected to last approximately two weeks.
