District Attorney Nola Foulston announces that Donald Eugene Wacker is scheduled for a parole hearing - public comment sessions to be held in Wichita on October 28, 2004. Donald Wacker was convicted by jury in 1992 of Kidnapping and Aiding A Felon in connection with the death of Nancy Shoemaker, age 7. Nancy was raped and strangled by co-defendant Doil Lane who was found guilty of First Degree Premeditated Murder, Aggravated Kidnapping and Rape. Lane is presently incarcerated in Texas for a similar crime involving the abduction, rape and murder of a young girl in San Marcos, Texas.
