Domestic Violence Referral Services

Referral Services for Women and Children

  • Safe and Confidential Shelter
    • Safety
    • Security
    • Private rooms for mothers with children
    • Supportive, Christian atmosphere 
  • Client Services
    • 24-Hour hotline
    • Connection to vital needs, including: job training, medical care and day care
    • Counseling, support groups and educational courses (i.e. parenting, budgeting classes)
    • Children's programs
    • Case Management - housing, job searches and training, support in court
    • Basic Necessities - Toiletries and Clothing
    • Transportation assistance
    • Advocates to assist with criminal justice system

StepStones - 504 E. 3rd Street, 265-1611

  • Providing housing and support services for survivors of domestic violence.  Transitional housing for maximum stay of two years.  Support services include: case management and counseling.  Limited financial services available.

    • 24-Hour Crisis Counseling - 263-3002

YWCA - Women's Crisis Center and Safehouse - P.O. Box 1740, 267-SAFE

  • Crisis Center Information
    • Safety - the shelter is a locked facility with no visitors allowed
    • Shelter and food provided for women and their minor children.
    • Trained counselors on duty 24-hours a day.
    • Counseling referrals for abusive spouses.
    • Clothing and personal care items provided.
    • Assistance in retaining legal counsel.
    • Bus service available to downtown areas, with fares provided by the Center.
    • Taxi dispatched at Center's expense to pick up victims within city limits.
    • Advocates on site to assist with criminal justice system
    • Education and housing assistance 
    • Support groups for women
    • The DIAL Program - 911 Phones for victims
