eRecording allows financial institutions, law firms and other businesses
involved in real estate transactions to submit documents electronically for
recording. Recorded documents are returned faster than waiting to receive
them back through the mail in 7-10 business days.
Our recording hours are 8:30am – 4:30pm, Monday – Friday minus County Holidays.
It is important to submit documents with your vendor before 3:00pm to ensure recording in the same business day.
All customers must have an agreement in place with an approved vendor. Only original documents can be used to create
the electronic document. Scanned images must be legible and reproducible. Be diligent in ensuring that documents submitted
for Electronic Recording are checked before submission for errors, omissions, scanning defects, illegible areas, and other
deficiencies that would affect the Recorder’s ability to record the document and the public notice to be created.
Sufficient space is needed for the electronic recording label in the top right corner of the 1st page.

Sedgwick County reviews each document for statutory requirements and will immediately
send back any documents that do not fill those requirements. This provides you with a quick
turnaround time for errors to be fixed.

Vendors act as a secure courier service to and from Sedgwick County’s recording system.
Each vendor has their own interface and fee schedule. It is recommended by the Sedgwick County
Register of Deeds for customers to contact all 3 vendors to determine which Vendor will work best
