Ballot Question

SHALL THE FOLLOWING BE ADOPTED?

Shall Unified School District No. 385, Butler County, Kansas (Andover), issue general obligation bonds in an amount not to exceed $39,680,000, to pay the costs to: (i) construct, furnish and equip three new elementary schools within the District; (ii) acquire and improve sites for proposed new elementary schools; (iii) make improvements, including construction of new classrooms, a new competition gymnasium, a greenhouse facility, new stagecraft and drama room, other support spaces, and renovation of existing areas at the existing Andover High School; (iv) construct and equip a new kitchen/cafeteria area and make other renovations to the existing Martin-Meadowlark Elementary School; (v) make needed improvements, including classroom(s) and restrooms and other renovations to the existing Cottonwood Elementary School; (vi) make various improvements to District buildings and property for enhanced security; (vii) make needed improvements to provide upgraded locker rooms, restrooms, press box, parking and other support areas at the existing District Stadium; (viii) construct and equip a new press box, new concession stand and restrooms, and make parking and other improvements at the Andover Central Campus Athletic Field; (ix) provide capitalized interest to help control the District mill levy during construction; and (x) make all other necessary improvements appurtenant thereto; all pursuant to the provisions of K.S.A.10-101 et seq.; K.S.A. 25-2018(f); K.S.A. 75-2315 et seq. and K.S.A.72-6761?”
