The same traffic laws that apply to motorists apply to cyclists. Ride
respectfully and always wear a properly fitting helmet. Ride in the same
direction as the traffic in the furthest right lane. Use hand signals to
indicate stops and turns. Ride in a straight line and don’t swerve in the road
or between parked cars. Wear brightly colored clothing to be visible to
motorists.
Motorists should reduce speed when encountering cyclists and give them the
appropriate right of way. Recognize hazards cyclists may face and give them
space.
