Mission
To protect Sedgwick County assets and provide a safe work environment for employees,
thus ensuring their ability to provide uninterrupted delivery of services to the citizens of Sedgwick County.
Risk Management
- Develops, implements and administers a comprehensive program to
identify risk factors that lead to or cause financial loss.
- Designs safety and loss prevention programs that will, to the extent
possible, prevent or minimize the identified risk factors.
- Pays for the financial loss caused by risk factors from established
self-insurance plans or through the purchase of insurance.
- Bases programs and decisions on the collection and analysis of
relevant data.
Claims Procedure
You many file a written claim against Sedgwick County by calling Risk
Management at 316-660-9683 to request a claim form. You should
complete the form and return it with all relevant documentation to the
Risk Management Office. Your claim will be reviewed to determine
if Sedgwick County negligence contributed in any way to your claimed
damages.
