Adopt-A-School
Sedgwick County Fire District 1’s Adopt-A-School Program promotes and enhances the Department’s involvement in the educational community and is also an important tool for reaching “at risk” youth. Although fire safety education is the primary goal, the personal interaction between the students and the firefighters is important. Professional firefighters can serve as role models to influence the building of healthy and safe lifestyles that will follow our youth throughout their lives.
