Arson Task Force
Sedgwick County Fire
District #1 is a member of the “South Central Kansas Arson Strike Force”.
The Strike Force is a partnership of 18 organizations including 7 counties
and State of Kansas and Federal agencies and is recognized by the State of
Kansas. It exists to assist in prompt investigation of complicated
fire scenes and can be activated on large or complicated fire
investigations and provides a diverse investigation team. The Strike
Force affords Sedgwick County the opportunity to get many investigators at
one of its fire scenes and Sedgwick County, in turn, assists any other
member departments at their fire scenes.
Some of the Departments
involved are: Newton Fire, Hutchinson Fire, El Dorado Fire, Wellington
Fire, Winfield Fire, McPherson Fire, Andover Fire, Kansas State Fire
Marshals Office, the ATF and more. |
