Station
36, located at 6400 S. Rock Rd., Derby, was built in 1966 and is
approximately 3,200 sq. ft. in size with four bays and covers a response
area of 80 square miles with both urban and rural areas.
Derby Fire and Rescue Department provides the
first responder medical and fire protection to the City. Station 36 has an automatic aid agreement and is automatically
dispatched within the agreement area to assist
Butler County Fire District
#3,
Rose Hill and McConnell Air Force Base.

facilities, McConnell Air Force Base, Advanced Industries, K-Line Plastic, Inc.,

The station houses 3 pieces of
equipment: Engine

Tender 36, and operates on a 3-shift
(platoon) rotation. The crews work a 24-hour shift on and 48 hours off. Five
personnel are assigned to each shift, including 1 Captain, 1 Lieutenant, and 3
Firefighters.

designated response area.
