Station
38, located at 1010 N. 143rd. St. E., Wichita, was built in 1986
and is approximately 8,500 sq. ft. in size with six bays and covers a
response area of 21 square miles with mainly urban areas. Station 38 has an
automatic aid agreement (is automatically dispatched within the agreement
area) with Andover Fire
and Rescue Department and
Butler County Fire District #3, Rose Hill. This station also provides first response on medical calls
within the city limits of Wichita.

The station houses 1 piece of equipment: Engine
38 and operates on a 3-shift (platoon) rotation. The crews work a 24-hour
shift on and 48 hours off. Three personnel are assigned to each shift,

area.
