Decontamination Equipment Training
If a bioterrorist, chemical or
radiological attack were to occur, Sedgwick County MMRS
has worked with local hospitals and first responders to
increase medical response capabilities.
On February 12-13, 2003, there were
decontamination equipment trainings for hospital staff,
Health Department staff, and first responder units. The
trainings and the innovative equipment purchased with MMRS
funding helps to assure hospitals of chemical
decontamination capabilities.
The Mass Pharmaceutical Distribution
Plan includes distributing emergency supplies and
pharmaceuticals to all segments of the local population.

In the event of a chemical,

media outlets for information. The Sedgwick County website
will include informative updates that will be continuously
updated.
