The Sedgwick County Department of Aging and Disabilities provides services to adults 55+ and individuals with disabilities in Sedgwick County in an effort to assist them in maintaining independence.

Helping Older Adults and Individuals with Disabilities Remain Independent

The Department of Aging and Disabilities is responsible for planning and coordinating a system to meet the needs of older adults and individuals with disabilities in the Sedgwick County area. Special emphasis is given to the needs of low income, minority, frail and disabled adults to prevent costly institutionalization. The department's focus is on providing home and community-based services, including home delivered meals, supportive services, transportation, information and assistance and linking individuals in need to available services through the department or other resources in the community.

What's new at Sedgwick County Department of Aging and Disabilities? 

Needs Assessment Survey - Sedgwick County Department of Aging and Disabilities/Central Plains Area Agency on Aging is collecting input on programs and services that are needed in the community for older adults and caregivers of older adults.
