Utility Permit Agreement

All utilities located within the public right-of-way of the unincorporated limits of the county require a Utility Permit Agreement to be on file with the County Engineer. Seneca, Wichita, KS 67213

Culvert Permits

Entrance culverts for residential or agricultural use that are to be installed within the public right-of-way of the unincorporated limits of the county require prior approval from Public Works. Permit applications are filed through the Code Enforcement Department, which accepts applications in person during their normal Monday – Friday business hours of 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.  Public Works will size and install a culvert along county maintained highways, but it is the responsibility of the property owner to purchase the culvert and make arrangements for delivery to the installation site. Please note that culverts that are to be installed along township maintained roads fall within the jurisdiction of the appropriate township. The applicant should contact the township to arrange for the purchase and installation of the culvert once an application has been approved by Public Works.

Questions regarding the culvert permit process should be directed to the Code Enforcement Department located on the first floor of the Sedgwick Country Public Works Building or by calling (316) 660-1840.
