Student Design Contest for Sedgwick County’s 2024 “I Voted” Sticker

(Sedgwick County, Kan.) –The Sedgwick County Election Office invites middle and high school students to put their creativity to work and participate in the first-ever Sedgwick County “I Voted” sticker design contest. The competition is open to all Sedgwick County students in grades 6–12, and the winning design will be the official “I Voted” sticker, given to thousands of voters at polling sites and with advance ballots during the 2024 electoral season.

“I’m excited to get kids involved in the democratic process and to see their vision for voters!” said Laura Rainwater Sedgwick County Election Commissioner.

Artwork should be original and non-partisan and incorporate the theme of voting and elections in Sedgwick County, the State of Kansas or the United States. Participants must agree to official contest rules and use the “I Voted” sticker template, which is available on the Sedgwick County Election website, Election Office | Sedgwick County, Kansas.

The deadline to submit a design is Friday, March 29, 2024, by 5 p.m. Participants can mail or drop off their artwork and completed entry and parental consent forms at the Sedgwick County Election Office, 510 N. Main, Suite 101, Wichita, between 8 a.m.-5 p.m., or email their submission to VoterInformation@sedgwick.gov. There is no limit how many entries a student can submit.

A distinguished panel of judges chosen from the community will evaluate the sticker designs and choose first, second and third place entries. The winning artists and their drawings will then be recognized at a meeting of the Sedgwick County Board of County Commissioners and on Sedgwick County Government’s social media pages.
