Animal Bite 4.4.24
Two children were transported by Sedgwick County EMS to Wesley Medical Center for injuries sustained from dog bites.
On April 4th, 2024 at approximately 11:00 a.m., deputies were dispatched to the 39000 block of west MacArthur for an animal bite call. Sedgwick County Deputies and Cheney Police Department Officers arrived and found that at least one of the dogs at the residence bit the two children. One child had serious injuries to their head and torso. The other child had minor injuries. Both children were taken to Wesley Medical Center to receive medical treatment.
The three dogs belonged to the residents where the incident occurred. The children were playing outside in the yard prior to being bitten by the dog/dogs. Sedgwick County Animal Control was notified in regards to this incident.
