Commissioned Class Graduation 1.9.24
The Wichita/Sedgwick County Law Enforcement Training Center proudly announces the graduation Ceremony for the fall 2023 Commissioned Law Enforcement Academy Class. The commencement will be held at 7:00 P.M. on Thursday January 11, 2024, at the Sedgwick County Extension Education Center. This is located at 7001 W. 21st Street N., Wichita, KS. 67205.
Sedgwick County Sheriff Jeff Easter will welcome 16 new deputies to the Sheriff’s Office. This transition comes after completing 25 weeks of basic academy training, which included such topics as interpersonal communication, policy and procedure, legal issues, computer training, and defensive tactics.
After graduation, the recruits will begin eight weeks of field training where they will work as partners with veteran deputies on the streets.
A reception for the graduates, family members, friends, and honored guests will follow the ceremony.
