Fatal motorcycle accident 3.31.24

On March 31^th, 2024 at approximately 4:22 pm Sedgwick County Sheriff Deputies responded to an injury accident at 6100 E. 47^th St. and Woodlawn. Deputies determined the motorcyclist, 28 year old male from Haysville was traveling eastbound on 47^th Street South on a Honda motorcycle traveling at a high rate of speed and crossed over into the westbound lanes. The motorcycle struck a Buick Lacrosse head on. The motorcyclist was wearing a helmet but did sustained fatal injuries. There were no signs of alcohol/drug impairment. The victim’s identity is not being release until the family is notified.
