Supervisor Arrested 1.29.30
On January 28th, 2023 a Sedgwick County Sheriff’s Office supervisor was arrested by the Maize Police Department for misdemeanor traffic offenses including driving under the influence.
Lieutenant Richard Gerdsen was operating his personally owned vehicle while off duty when the incident occurred. Lt. Gerdsen has been employed by the Sheriff’s Office for 17 years.
Lt. Gerdsen has been relieved of duty pending the outcome of an internal investigation.
