Biography
Karl Peterjohn was elected to the Board of Sedgwick County Commissioners in 2008 and took office in 2009. He holds a bachelors degree in economics and government and a masters degree in economics from Ohio University.
Commissioner Peterjohn served on the City of Wichita's Library Board for eight years before being termed out in 2003. He also was elected to and served for the Citizens Participation Organization.
Commissioner Peterjohn was a budget analyst in the State of California's Department of Finance. He served as the executive director of the Kansas Taxpayers Network for more than 16 years.
In 1987, Commissioner Peterjohn represented Kansas in the United States Triathlon Series National Championship that took place in Hilton Head Island, South Carolina.
Commissioner Peterjohn and his wife Marilyn have two children.
