Sedgwick County launches community engagement survey

(Sedgwick County, Kan.) – Sedgwick County is launching an online community engagement survey to gather feedback from residents on county-provided public services and public priorities.

Over 100,000 randomly selected residents will receive a personalized link to the survey by mail, text or email. The survey is hosted by Qualtrics, an online platform assisting Sedgwick County with this project. Additionally, the public will be able to share their feedback through the Sedgwick County website and social media platforms later in November. The survey is estimated to take 10-15 minutes to complete and is intended for residents 18 or older. All responses are confidential.

Sedgwick County leaders are conducting this survey to engage residents on service delivery and community priorities. As part of the County’s strategic plan and commitment to transparency and accessibility, feedback gathered will help shape budget and workforce priorities that directly impact services to the community.

“Sedgwick County has never conducted an organized community survey like this before, and we view it as a vital opportunity to hear directly from our residents,” Sedgwick County Manager Tom Stolz said. “Your feedback will play a key role in shaping our priorities, guiding future decisions and ensuring that County services reflect the needs and values of our community for years to come.”

The survey is expected to conclude in December, with survey results presented to the Board of Commissioners later that month and released in a public report in early 2026.
