Sedgwick County Offers Free E-Waste Collection Events
(Sedgwick County, Kan.) – Sedgwick County Environmental Resources will host free electronic waste collection events April 23-25 and April 30-May 2 from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. at the Sedgwick County West Yard, 4701 S. West St.
Sedgwick County residents can safely dispose of computers, laptops, printers, televisions, cell phones, batteries, tablets, network devices (routers, modems, etc.) and more at no cost. A complete list of accepted items can be found here. Please keep old cell phones separate from other e-waste items.
Sedgwick County contracts with a zero-waste vendor to reuse or recycle all electronics. Hard drives are destroyed to prevent access to stored data. This collection is intended for individual households and businesses, excluding those selling or recycling electronics.
Residents are encouraged to consider alternate routes as West St. is closed southbound from MacArthur Rd. to 47th St. S.
