Student Design Contest for Sedgwick County’s 2026 ‘I Voted’ and ‘Future Voter’ Stickers

(Sedgwick County, Kan.) – Today, the Sedgwick County Election Office opened its student design contest for the 2026 “I Voted” sticker that will be given to voters during next year’s electoral season. The competition is open to all students in grades 6-12 who attend public, private or home schools in Sedgwick County.

Sedgwick County Election Commissioner Laura Rainwater also announced a new contest for students in grades K-5 to design “Future Voter” stickers. These stickers will be given to children who accompany voters to the polls.

“Introducing children to voting from an early age can instill in them a sense of civic responsibility, sparking curiosity about how individual actions influence the broader community, and shaping informed, engaged citizens for the future,” said Rainwater.

A distinguished panel of judges chosen from the community will evaluate the sticker designs and choose first-, second- and third-place entries. The winning artists and their drawings will be recognized at a meeting of the Sedgwick County Board of County Commissioners and on Sedgwick County Government’s social media pages.

Artwork should be non-partisan and incorporate the theme of voting and elections in Sedgwick County, the State of Kansas or the United States. Use of artificial intelligence to create the design is allowed but not encouraged. Participants must agree to official contest rules and use the sticker template, which is available on the Sedgwick County Election website, Election Office | Sedgwick County, Kansas.

The deadline to submit a design is 5 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 27, 2026. Participants can mail or drop off their artwork and completed entry and parental consent forms at the Sedgwick County Election Office, 510 N. Main, Suite 101, Wichita, between 8 a.m.-5 p.m., or email their submission to VoterInformation@sedgwick.gov.
