Board of County Commissioners
- BoCC approved the minutes from the regular meeting on Aug. 5, 2026.
- BoCC adopted a proclamation declaring Sept. 15-Oct. 15, 2026, as Hispanic Heritage Month.
- BoCC approved the recommendations of the Board of Bids and Contracts’ regular meeting on Aug. 27, 2026.
- BoCC approved an agreement to purchase a parking lot for the Douglas Tag Office.
- BoCC approved an extension of the Data Centers Interim Development Control to Dec. 24, 2026.
Upcoming Events
- The Wichita Foundation Amphitheater at Exploration Place is hosting RiverFlix for the 2026 season. The public is invited to bring blankets, snacks and a sense of adventure, with food trucks and seating opening at 6 p.m. The event is free and open to all ages. - Sedgwick County offices will be closed Monday, Sept. 7, in observance of Labor Day. Emergency services will be available by calling or texting 911.
- Immerse yourself in a night full of local cuisine, refreshing libations and live entertainment at Sedgwick County Zoo’s Zoobilee. The Zoo’s premier fundraiser takes place Saturday, Sept. 12, from 6 p.m.-midnight.
