2025 Community Engagement Survey

Community Survey Dashboard

In late 2025, Sedgwick County launched an online community engagement survey to gather feedback from residents on county-provided public services and public priorities. This is believed to be the first community survey conducted by Sedgwick County.

As part of the County’s strategic plan and commitment to transparency and accessibility, feedback gathered will help shape budget and workforce priorities that directly impact services to the community.

  • The community survey, hosted by Qualtrics, was approved during Sedgwick County's 2025 budget process.
  • Questions were created by Sedgwick County staff before review by Qualtrics, the Wichita State Hugo Wall School, County Leadership and the Board of County Commissioners.
  • Questions were also translated and confirmed in Spanish and Vietnamese.
  • The survey was distributed by postcard to 15,000 residences divided equally among districts, as well as 50,000 randomly selected for text messages and more than 70,000 randomly selected for emails.
  • The survey was also available via public links through social media and the Sedgwick County website.

The survey was launched Nov. 6, 2025, and concluded Dec. 1, 2025. Walker, a consulting firm, presented an executive report the Board of County Commissioners on Dec. 16.

A public report based on the survey's results are available for viewing.
