·        BoCC approved the minutes from the regular meetings on Aug. 12 and Aug. 19, 2026.

·        BoCC accepted the resignation of David Paul from the Wichita-Sedgwick County Food and Farm Council.

·        BoCC approved the recommendations of the Board of Bids and Contracts’ regular meeting on Sept. 3, 2026.

·        No binding action was taken during an executive session.

Upcoming Events

·        The Wichita Foundation Amphitheater at Exploration Place is hosting RiverFlix for the 2026 season. The public is invited to bring blankets, snacks and a sense of adventure, with food trucks and seating opening at 6 p.m. The event is free and open to all ages. The Zoo’s premier fundraiser takes place Saturday, Sept. 12, from 6 p.m.-midnight. ·        The City of Derby is celebrating Third Thursday and Derby Market on Sept. 17 from 5-8 p.m. at Madison Avenue Central Park, 512 E. Madison Ave. The evening’s entertainment highlight will be the Derby Recreation Commission Sing-off. The event also features food and drinks, family-friendly activities and more than 40 Derby Market vendors. City of Derby Third Thursday
