Bulky Waste Disposal Vouchers

Sedgwick County residents (no businesses) are eligible to request a voucher to dispose of up to 1,000 pounds of bulky waste at no cost. Vouchers are valid for 30 days and may be used Tuesdays through Saturdays at the Waste Connections Transfer Station at 4300 W 37th St N. All individuals must wear a high visibility vest at the Transfer Station.

Acceptable Bulky Waste:

Furniture

Rugs and carpet

Countertops, toilets, vanities, showers

Tree limbs

Large appliances that do not contain refrigerant

Swing sets

Items NOT covered by the voucher: tires, mattresses, liquids, hazardous materials

Mattress Disposal Vouchers

Sedgwick County residents (no businesses) are eligible to request a voucher to dispose of up to 2 mattresses or box springs at no cost. Vouchers are valid for 30 days and may be used Monday through Saturday at Brooks Landfill at 4100 N West Street in Wichita. All individuals are expected to unload their own items. No unloading assistance provided.
