Blue-Green Algae Warning Issued on Aug. 1, 2025, for Lake Afton
(Sedgwick County, Kan.) – The Kansas Department of Health and Environment (KDHE) has issued this year’s first blue-green algae warning for Lake Afton.
A Warning status indicates that conditions are unsafe for human and pet exposure.
