Kansas Department of Corrections & Sedgwick County Department of Corrections Press Conference on Behavioral Health Services Grants for Juveniles in Detention at 2:30 p.m.
(Sedgwick County, Kan.) – The Kansas Department of Corrections (KDOC) is announcing the successful implementation of over $1.4 million in grant funding on behavioral health services for juveniles in detention. The grants, established through the 2023 passage of House Bill 2021, address the significant behavioral health needs of juveniles and connect families to crucial support services sooner.
Deputy Secretary of the Kansas Department of Corrections Megan Milner, Sedgwick County Department of Corrections Director Steve Stonehouse, Sedgwick County Deputy Director of Juvenile Programs Mario Salinas and area behavioral health providers will be available for media to discuss the grant funding today, Tuesday, Sept. 16, 2025, at 2:30 p.m. in the Sedgwick County Juvenile Detention Facility (JDF) lobby located at 700 S. Hydraulic, 67211.
