Media Advisory: Ribbon-cutting for new Sedgwick County exercise park

(Sedgwick County, Kan.) – Sedgwick County will hold a ribbon-cutting for a new outdoor fitness area designed for adults ages 60 and older at Sedgwick County Park on Monday, Oct. 27, 2025, at 9 a.m. Sedgwick County commissioners and leaders will make remarks and be available to the media.

The Get Active In Nature (G.A.I.N.) 60+ Exercise Park features 11 resistance-based and strength-based exercise stations, five of which are wheelchair accessible. The park is a partnership between Sedgwick County, the Central Plains Area Agency on Aging (CPAAA) and the Kansas Department for Aging and Disability Services (KDADS) with the goal to promote physical activity and social interactions among all ages, genders and abilities.
