Media Advisory: Sedgwick County Leaders to Address Winter Storm Prep

(Sedgwick County, Kan.) – Sedgwick County invites members of the media to a briefing with public safety and public works leadership to receive the latest information ahead of this weekend’s forecasted winter storm. The press conference will take place today, Jan. 22, 2026, at noon at the Sedgwick County Emergency Communications Center, 714 N Main St.

As of Thursday morning, the National Weather Service in Wichita has issued a Winter Storm Watch and Cold Weather Advisory with heavy snow possible and dangerously cold wind chills.
