Sedgwick County names Interim County Appraiser

(Sedgwick County, Kan.) – Today at their regularly scheduled meeting, the Sedgwick County Board of County Commissioners (BoCC) approved appointing Brent Shelton as the Interim Sedgwick County Appraiser beginning July 1, 2025. Current County Appraiser Mark Clark’s term ends on June 30, 2025, and he will later retire.  Mark Clark was appointed the Sedgwick County Appraiser on Feb. 12, 2020, and has served in the County Appraiser’s Office for 30 years.

“We are grateful for Mark Clark’s more than 30 years of dedicated service to the residents of Sedgwick County,” said BoCC Chairman Ryan Baty. “His leadership and commitment to public service and fairness in the property valuation process have made a lasting impact, and we thank him for his contributions.”

The County plans to conduct a nationwide search later this summer to fill this position.
