NOTICE OF SPECIAL QUESTION ELECTION

KECHI TOWNSHIP, SEDGWICK COUNTY, KANSAS

            Notice is hereby given to the qualified electors of the Kechi Township, Sedgwick County, Kansas (the “Township”) that a special question election has been called and will be held on November 3, 2026, for the purpose of submitting to the qualified electors of the Township the following proposition:

Shall the following be adopted?

“Shall the Kechi Township, Kansas, be authorized to construct, equip and furnish a new township building for administrative use, equipment storage and maintenance, at an estimated total cost not to exceed $400,000; provided that all required funds for said project shall be derived solely from existing cash reserves currently held by the township and the proceeds from the sale of the existing township building, with zero dollars ($0.00) raised through the issuance of new bonds or any increase in the township's property tax levy, pursuant to the provisions of K.S.A. 80-104 et seq., as amended??”

• To vote IN FAVOR of the proposition, darken the oval next to the word "YES".
• To vote AGAINST the proposition, darken the oval next to the word "NO".

            To vote in favor of any question submitted on this ballot, press the word “Yes” on the voting machine or completely darken the oval to the left of the word “Yes” on a paper ballot.  To vote against it, press the word “No” on the voting machine or completely darken the oval to the left of the word “No” on a paper ballot.

The polls will open at 7:00 A.M. and will close at 7:00 P.M., on November 3, 2026, the election day.  The voting places in the City, and the area each voting place will serve, will be as follows:

            The election will be conducted by the officers and/or persons provided by law for holding elections, and the method of voting will be by ballot.  Registered voters are eligible to vote by advance voting ballot upon application to the Election Commissioner at the address set forth below pursuant to K.S.A. 25-1117 et seq.
