Vote by Mail

Kansas law allows residents to vote by mail. To vote by mail, voters must submit an application for an advanced voting ballot. 


REQUEST AN ADVANCED VOTING BALLOT

Voters must submit an application to vote by mail.  Follow the steps below to request an advanced voting ballot. 

1. Download the Application by clicking this link. 

2. Fill out the application with the following information:

• Date the election will be held
• Your name
• Address where you are registered
• Date of birth
• Your Kansas Driver’s License or Kansas nondrivers ID Number (or submit copy of other ID specified on the form) 
• Your signature

Via Email
Attach the completed application as a .pdf or .jpg and email the application to voterinformation@sedgwick.gov.  

Via Fax
Fax the completed application to 316-660-7125.

RETURN YOUR ADVANCE BY MAIL BALLOT

After your ballot arrives in the mail, please complete it carefully by following the provided instructions.

To be counted, your ballot must be returned to the Election Office, a community located drop box, or a box inside a polling place by 7 PM on Election Day, or postmarked by Election Day and received no later than the third day following the election. In most cases this is the Friday after a Tuesday election.
