Workgroup Meeting Summaries

August 21, 2026 Meeting Summary

Key Updates

  • Discussed stigma-reduction resources and agreed that future activities should use person-first, recovery-oriented language and include people with lived experience in planning, implementation, and evaluation.
  • Planned the steps to use grant-related resources for youth mental health training efforts. The resources will support youth engagement, training incentives, food, and feedback collection. Youth focus groups may also provide baseline and follow-up information related to stigma and community needs.
    • Create a list of organizations that work with youth and organizations that provide mental health and substance use training for youth.
    • Identify 2-3 questions that mental health and substance use training can ask at the end of each session.

Next workgroup meeting is Friday, October 16, from 1-2 p.m.
