- Goal 1: Support early childhood development and school readiness from pregnancy to age 8.
- Goal 2: Increase support for middle and high school youth preparing for education or career pathways.
- Proposed Goal 3: Support returning adult learners pursuing a high school diploma or equivalent.

Key Updates
- Discussed strengthening workgroup membership by recruiting specific agencies working on Goal 2.
- Reviewed Goal 1 and the need to further clarify baseline data and measures to assess progress
- Learned from Child Start about their current and upcoming activities, with opportunities for the workgroup to assist.
- Learned about the CHIP Healthcare Access workgroup connection to resources survey for Sedgwick County agencies. The survey is expected to be finalized in mid-September and will give the workgroup baseline data about how agencies connect people to resources. (See Healthcare Access Workgroup meeting summary.)
Next workgroup meeting is Wednesday, October 21, from 9 -10 a.m.
