The Healthcare Access Workgroup brainstormed logic models related to Goals 1 and 2. Kevin Claybon from Everest Effect was a guest presenter at the meeting.

Finalized CHIP Goals:

  • Goal 1: Increase community members’ connection to healthcare services.
  • Goal 2: Increase understanding of the healthcare system among community members, healthcare workers, organizations, and decision-makers.

  • Everest Effect is a technology and digital identity company focused on improving the lives of individuals who need social services. They build “networks of social services care” and solve for many of the sector's operational inefficiencies. Their solutions help service providers:
  • Create a social services ID and longitudinal record (Everest ID)
    • Quickly register and onboard clients
    • Record service transactions
    • Have operational reporting in seconds
    • Share intelligence & data with other nonprofit providers

These solutions are currently being offered at no cost through the end of 2028.

May 2026 Recap

Key Updates

  • Developed survey questions for organizations and agencies to help identify barriers within the healthcare referral system.
  • Planned distribution of the survey through QR codes shared with partners, Health Alliance networks, and Facebook groups.
  • Cari Schmidt (KU School of Medicine Wichita – Center for Research for Infant Birth and Survival (CRIBS) presented the Growing Hope Kits, supporting perinatal mental health; pilot results showed improved coping skills, parenting confidence, and access to resources. Growing Hope
