Benefit Fund to Kick Off Annual Food Box Drive for Local Families
SEDGWICK COUNTY, Kan. – The Sedgwick County Sheriff’s Office Benefit Fund will kick off its annual food box drive on Wednesday, Dec. 10, 2025, to help brighten the holiday season for families in need.
Volunteers from across Sedgwick County will gather at the Dillon’s Warehouse, 21999 W. Kellogg in Goddard, to package food items for distribution. Deliveries will begin on Wednesday afternoon and continue through Friday.
This year’s drive, made possible through the generosity of Sedgwick County residents and community partners, will provide 400 families with two boxes of assorted food items. Dillon’s will donate materials, warehouse space and personnel to support the effort.
Schools, community members and first responders throughout Sedgwick County have submitted nominations for families who will receive food boxes.
Media are invited to attend the packaging event between 9 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday.
