Fatal Farming Accident near Mulvane

MULVANE, Kan. — A 70-year-old man died Wednesday, Dec. 4 in a farming accident in the 10200 block of South 127th Street East near Mulvane.

Deputies were dispatched to the scene at 2:06 p.m. after a caller reported his father had been involved in an accident while working on a large John Deere combine. Emergency responders with Mulvane EMS arrived and pronounced the man, identified as David Humbolt of rural Mulvane, dead at the scene.

This is a tragic accident and the Sheriff’s Office extends its deepest condolences to the Humbolt family.
