Sheriff’s Office arrests Wichita man in fatal hit-and-run crash

WICHITA, Kan. — The Sedgwick County Sheriff’s Office has arrested a Wichita man in connection with a fatal hit-and-run crash that occurred early Sunday morning, March 15, 2026, and claimed the life of 29-year-old Adam Wayne Condit.

On Friday, March 20, detectives arrested Andrew Eugene Fibert, 21, of Wichita in connection with the crash.

At 5:49 p.m., Fibert was booked into the Sedgwick County Adult Detention Facility on one count of failure to stop at an accident resulting in death.

The case will be presented to the Sedgwick County District Attorney’s Office for formal charging consideration.
