Two Dead, One Injured After Rollover Crash in Southwest Wichita
SEDGWICK COUNTY, Kan. — The Sedgwick County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a fatal rollover crash that occurred late Friday night in southwest Wichita.
On Dec. 26, 2025, at approximately 11:11 p.m., deputies, the Wichita Fire Department and Sedgwick County EMS responded to a reported injury crash in the 5100 block of South West Street near 47th Street South.
When first responders arrived, they found a black Chevrolet SS that left the roadway and rolled multiple times. The driver, 46-year-old Joseph Perry Davidson of Wichita, was ejected from the vehicle and died at the scene.
A passenger, 48-year-old Joshua Blick of Wichita, was also ejected. He was taken to a local hospital in critical condition, where he later died.
Another passenger, a 44-year-old Wichita man, was taken to a local hospital with serious injuries.
Based on the preliminary investigation, the vehicle was traveling north on West Street when it failed to negotiate a curve, left the roadway and rolled multiple times. Investigators believe speed and alcohol were contributing factors.
The Sedgwick County Sheriff’s Office Major Crash Team continues to investigate.
