NOTICE OF ELECTION AUDIT, 2019 Primary Election

UPDATE , AUGUST 7, 2019:

At 9 a.m. today, a meeting was held at the Sedgwick County Election Office to randomly select the two offices and 1% of precincts for post-election audit.

Because the Primary Election was held for two offices, no random selection was made. Both the Wichita Mayor and USD 259 Member at Large elections will be audited. Three precincts were randomly selected to be audited. Those precincts, and the races on their ballots are listed below:

531 – Wichita Mayor – 286 ballots cast

615 – Wichita Mayor and USD 259 School Board Member at Large – 155 ballots cast

BA03 – USD 259 School Board Member at Large – 82 ballots cast

In total, 441 ballots will be audited for Wichita Mayor and 237 ballots will be audited for USD 259 Member at Large.

The audit will begin at 11 a.m. on Friday, August 9, and will be a hand count of unofficial election night results in the randomly selected precincts. The results of the audit will be presented to the Board of County Canvassers at 10 a.m. on Thursday, August 15 at the Sedgwick County Election Office, 510 N. Main.

NOTICE OF ELECTION AUDIT

Pursuant to K.S.A. 25-3009, notice is hereby given that an election audit shall be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, August 9, 2019 in the Election Commissioner's Office in the Sedgwick County Historic Courthouse, 510 North Main, Suite 102, Wichita, Kansas. 

A public meeting to randomly select the precincts and offices to be audited will be held at 9:00 a.m. on August 7, 2019 in the Election Commissioner's Office in the Sedgwick County Historic Courthouse, 510 North Main, Suite 101, Wichita, Kansas. 

The election audit shall be of unofficial election night results of the votes cast in the 2019 Primary Election to be held on August 6, 2019.
