USD 262 - Mail Ballot Election Information

There will be a Mail Ballot Election held within USD 262 on August 29, 2023. All voting will be conducted by mail ballot.

This election is only open to voters who live within the district.

How to receive a ballot? 

Each qualified elector in the district registered at least 30 days prior to the election will be mailed an official ballot. Ballots will be mailed no sooner than the 20th day before the election and no later than the 10th day before the election. 

If an elector registers after the registration deadline, a ballot may be obtained by submitting an application for a replacement ballot and denoting "Late Registration" on the form.

How to return your ballot? 

Ballots must be returned to the Election Office by noon on Election Day. Ballots may be returned in their sealed return envelope:

8-Aug Registration for the USD 262 Mail Ballot Election closes at 11:59 PM.
9-Aug Sedgwick County Election Office begins mailing ballots to each qualified elector.  Ballots will be mailed no sooner than the 20th day before the election and no later than the 10th day before the election.
25-Aug Public test of automated tabulating equipment to be held in the Sedgwick County Election Office. 
29-Aug USD 262 Mail Ballot Election. Ballots must be returned to the Sedgwick County Election Office by noon. 
7-Sep Canvass of the USD 262 Mail Ballot Election will be held in the Sedgwick County Election Office. 
12-Sept Public test of automated tabulating equipment to be held in the Sedgwick County Election Office.
