- Legally assigned Manufacturer’s Statement of Origin (MSO)
- Sales tax receipt or bill of sale
- Physical Proof of Insurance (Insurance Card)
Used Vehicle with Kansas Title
- Legally assigned title from previous owner/dealer
- Sales tax receipt or bill of sale
- Current mileage
- Physical Proof of Insurance (Insurance Card)
- Lien holder Release, if one is showing on front of the title
Used Vehicle with Out-of-State Title
- Legally assigned title from previous owner/dealer
- Sales tax receipt or bill of sale
- Current mileage
- Physical Proof of Insurance (Insurance Card)
- Lien holder Release, if one is showing on front of the title
- Completed MVE-1 Form, obtained from the vehicle inspection officer
Transfer an Out-of-State Vehicle Registration
- Current out-of-state title (if title has a lien, lienholder must send the title to Tag Office)
- Completed MVE-1 Form, obtained from the vehicle inspection officer
- Physical Proof of Insurance (Insurance Card)
Renew a Vehicle Registration
- Registration renewal application with current address and zip code, signed by vehicle owner.
- Physical Proof of Insurance (Insurance Card)
- Registration receipt from current year or tag number (if application was not received in the mail)
