2022 General Election Update for Colwich & Garden Plain City Contests

(Sedgwick County, Kan.) – Earlier today, the Sedgwick County Election Office was made aware that ballots for the areas around Colwich and Garden Plain are showing city contests for their rural voters. Approximately 375 voters in these areas have cast a ballot. At this time, it is unknown if this will impact the outcome of the contested Colwich City Council contest. The Colwich Mayor and Garden Plain City Council contests are uncontested. The Sedgwick County Election Office has made an adjustment to ensure that all ballots issued going forward will include the appropriate contests for these voters.
