District 5 Town Hall scheduled for Wednesday

(Sedgwick County, Kan.) – Please join District 5 Commissioner Jim Howell for an informational meeting regarding an interim improvement project at the intersection of 143rd Street East and Harry. The meeting will begin at 5:30 p.m., Wednesday, June 12 at Christa McAuliffe Academy, 2055 S. 143rd St. East, and is not expected to last more than an hour. Those who plan to attend will have time during the meeting to ask questions regarding the project.

Sedgwick County Public Works is currently making improvements to the intersection at 143rd Street East and Harry Street in Wichita. The project includes a northbound turn lane on 143rd St. at Harry to accommodate an increase of traffic in the area generated by area schools and commuters.

The project began on June 3, 2019 and should be completed by the end of the month. The estimated cost of the project has not been determined.
